Centella asiatica is a perennial herb that belongs to the Apiaceae family and is native to wetlands in Asia, particularly found in countries like India, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Centella Asiatica, Gotu Kola, Mandukparni, Indian pennywort, Jalbrahmi, Tiger grass. In China, Gotu kola is known as “miracle elixir of life” over 2000 years ago. The plant typically features fan-shaped, green leaves and produces small, inconspicuous flowers. It creeps and spreads horizontally, often forming dense mats.

In India – Centella asiatica is valued as an ethno medicine in Ayurveda as well as Unani, the traditional Indian medicinal systems for thousands of years.
